Did Jesus really exist???

“Son of God”??

Our world has an extremely large population. A massive percentage of it is made up of Christians comprised of 2 billion people. Around 20 centuries ago, a man named Jesus lived and gained popular support as an important man. Unlike the majority of the leader’s of his time, Jesus did not have political power. His followers believed that he was special and different from the rest of the people. Today, there are many disputes and debates on whether he lived or not, or even if he existed, did he acquire significant abilities. A documentary called “Son of God,” with archaeological and scientific assistance; was capable to answer many questions regarding Jesus and the Biblical narration about him.
Many proofs and evidences from the present world suggest the existence and the originality of the Biblical text. The way of present day living in parts of Jerusalem portray a living museum and reflect the birth conditions of Jesus. It is said that instead of being born in an inn, Jesus was born in a stable. However, the book of Luke was originally written in Greek. There is a probability that “inn” was misinterpreted from the Greek word Cataluma and was originally meant to be the upper room. So Jesus was born in the lower room which was perfectly normal for the time as there were no medical availability for deliveries. These fitting condition show that the Biblical text’s originality. Evidence that shows more proof is that archaeologists have dug up a house that has graffiti over it. Experts say that it is a house from Jesus’ time. The graffiti has “Simon” written on it. This shows that Simon Peter, who was one of Jesus’ disciples, is not a made up name and was a common name during the time.
The gospels suggest that that during the 1st century, the people would come to the steps of the temple in Jerusalem and listen to the priests. Assuming that Jesus was there to talk to the Rabbis, and he did study and spend time with them, then it would have made him a religion educated man who would have challenged the existing ways of religion instead of how the Gospels describe him as the “Son of God.” In other words, a man who tries to right the wrong is not necessarily the “Son of God.” Other texts from the Bible continue to raise questions about Jesus’ existence. It is said that Mary, Jesus’ mother had a virgin delivery. Well science proves the unconditional impossibilities of that. Along with that, it is said that the “three kings” came over from the East on December 25th (6 B.C) were following the bright star. Despite the fact that during the first century, there was a planet alignment that could have been taken as a bright star, there are many ways how the kings could have understood the exact meaning of it, and led themselves to the exact place where Jesus was born. Only superstitious believes can have an influence over that.
To prove a belief, determination and faith is needed. These factors are not lacking in the world today. As science progresses and new discoveries are made, further truth will come out. A disappointment would arise if the largest religion in the world today was based on something that did not exist. And if Jesus lived, the world would not know if Jesus knew if his actions would later be a leading factor of two billion people in the coming years. His most remarkable achievement would be that in the end he inspired a new faith that helped shape the world that we live in today.

IT IS NOT THE EXISTENCE THAT REALLY MATTERS, BUT THE FAITH THAT COUNTS....

The Scrolls of Discernment: Leveled Houses

Perception. A ten letter word that has never managed to daunt the young speller. Despite 'throning' itself with an attire that presents itself with amity to the modern human, perception applies what most other fragments of psychology never fail to administer: Chicane or as Sheldon Cooper from "The Big Bang Theory" would say, 'Trickery and Deceit'. The majority of this blog's audience reading this post probably dreams of a perfect world where equality 'roams free' and hence 'no one has lesser than the other'. Pretty good. A world such as that one would surely qualify for a utopia. But it’s saddening to say that no human being is attempting to move towards that goal, not because there's cruelty and dishonesty in the world, but because equality is not a Utopian concept. Welcome to the reality that is the 21st Century. The majority of this century's population has successfully managed to perceive social equality, a promising life that the world so desperately wants to shift towards, as monetary equality, a highly ambitious future that cannot be achieved with mere hope , apologies, with hope and sloth brewed together into an unsavory potion (that manages to create results antipodean of those desired).
The equality that we are closest to achieving will allow every human on the planet to speak his/her mind without being objected by ‘a higher authority’. The equality that we so desperately want, but can never achieve is, in a hypothetical way, living in a global neighborhood which accommodates uniform houses with homogeneous qualities and features. Sorry. With the divergent attitudes that exist in the minds of the earth’s collective demographic, humans can’t possibly imagine a world with an economic Pangaea. Why do you think that only a minority of the world’s population has been able to achieve the title of ‘billionaire’, while the rest of the people perform the tasks of ‘salarymen’ and ‘juniors’? The answer is simple and it takes us back to the previous discussion. Only a few people want to really work to ‘make it big’, while others only manage to create non-analyzed ideas, which lose their importance after the first three weeks of their inception, after the adrenaline fades away. Ever imagine how our world would function if everyone was equal? Havoc... No incentive to grow as hard work would not get you nowhere but be equal as everyone. Maybe the chasm can be decreased... but absolute equality??? BAD IDEA!!  Think about it, Facebook made it big, Apple made it big, Microsoft made it big, the creators of these companies also made it big. Why? On a general note, everyone wants to achieve success in their own way; those with passion, dedication and hard work are able to gain success, while others only view success as a dream.

Inequality alive and appreciated!

The equality of gender, also referred to as egalitarianism, dominantly concerns the promotion of equal rights and consideration for both genders. In context to the general idea of ethical issues, the topic of gender equality does no practically fit in because most people believe that there is no proper argument in favor of gender inequality. However, several aspects of the idea vary based on the different perspectives of the world. In many South-eastern countries such as India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, traditional backgrounds of the majority of the women have adjusted themselves to fit into a society where their life is devoted to serving their husbands. These practices have not been forced upon them as, ironically; the women gain satisfaction through these practices and appreciate the idea of serving their loved ones. Contrary to these ideas, majority of the women still seek actual equality instead of documented rules justifying their rights at the same level as the men’s.

Historically, egalitarianism has mostly adopted the form of endorsing women’s rights in a traditionally male-dominated society. These factors promote ideas of misandry and misogyny. Many religious texts from the Bible suggest the inferiority of men over women. In the book of Genesis, since Eve gave into temptation before Adam, God said to Eve, “Your husband will rule over you.” Ephesians 5:22-23 also says “Women……be subject to your husbands,” and 1 Timothy 2:9-12 also portrays the similar “A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I permit no women to teach or have authority over men, she is to keep silent.” In contradiction to Christian beliefs, the Islamic law proposes the equality of both men and women.  Surah an-Nisa' 4:1 states that men and women are created from a single soul (nafs wahidah). One person does not come before the other, one is not superior to the other, and one is not the derivative of the other. A woman is not created for the purpose of a man. Rather, they are both created for the mutual benefit of each other. (Quran 4:34) In today’s perspective, most of the world does have laws that subject to equality among everyone, but hypothetically, there are still signs of men superiority in some parts of the world.
